Cleaned up the thread a bit, to make the OP more presentable.

Sad that 17s are no longer sufficient to develop performance tires. But, this kind of does explain why M3s feel so right on Michelins!

"One of its coolest battle scars is dimpling on the hood from high-g loading" - I'd love to see a picture of this. Has anyone experienced it with their heavily tracked cars?

I've never heard of that on these cars other than from this article. Curious if anyone else has more info too. I think the author was probably mistaken on why there were dimples in the hood.

Yeah I didnt understand that either - must have mistaken high g-loading for a 13mm wrench left under the hood when they closed it once.

on C&D picture gallery #43 of 61 you can tell by the sidewall and tread blocks this LTW is wearing BFGoodrich G-Force Rival tires.

BFG obviously is a Michelin company.
