Back up from brief hiatus from the boards. Not much in terms of substantial updates to share, but I did score a new iPhone, so that's always a good excuse to share some new content.

Been keeping up w/ a steady cadence of weekly washes:

finally got around to replacing some exhaust hangers that were well past their prime. forgot to snag pics of the process, but here's one of the end results:

also, been meaning to throw back on my rear strut bar for quite some time now. when i made the switch to GC coilovers, the mounting studs were inverted, so couldn't make it work, or so i thought.. i eventually got around to giving GC a call to pick their brains on potential workarounds, to which they responded, "reverse the shock mounts so the studs come up from the bottom..." doh, big palm-to-face moment , but glad it's finally back in where it ought to be.

Lastly, wanted to share a really cool opportunity I had w/ Courtney Cutchen of PerformanceTechnic - a well known automotive photographer and BMW specialty shop here in the bay area. They do a ton of great write ups on cars they build and service, and they recently published a story on the purple people eater.

enjoy :

Those pictures, and write up, are great. Nicely done.

Just read the article fully finally. You know I’m a huge fan, great stuff Carlos. Can’t wait to see the new stuff you have planned.

Best purple car on the forums and a true sweater enthusiast.

Word up! Looks great man. Maybe your "other" story will come out eventually, someday... Hopefully before we're all dead.

Appreciate the kind words, gents! This sucker has been a fun (and frustrating, but mostly fun) build, and glad to see others getting excited to see it progress too. Still have quite a bit in store for this one, and with a new phone, I’m sure the updates will come at a steadier clip.
