ZERO oil consumption.

The only car I have ever owned that doesn't.

My baby does not burn oil at all. Never needed to top off in between oil changes. I remember reading somewhere before I bought the car in 2010 that the s54 drinks oil and it was very common. As a result I was literally checking the oil every week in the beginning. After a few months I chalked it up to me just being lucky and getting one that just doesn't burn oil. The responses on this thread prove that I'm not alone.

No noticeable oil consumption here. Using Castrol TWS 10w60, oil changes every 6-7k miles. The S54 doesn't seem to burn oil quite like the M54.

Mine does consume oil evidently, I just added a quart two weeks ago with only 500 miles after a oil change. I seem to be in the minority.

1 qt (liter I hope) after only 500 miles? That's not ok. That's not "burning" oil, that's leaking oil.

S54 no, but M54s love to leak and/or burn oil like it's their business. Overall I much prefer the S54 for maintenance than the M54.

My Z4M Coupe doesn't burn TWS 10W-60, but burns about 1/4 to 1/2 liter of Castrol 0W-40 every 5000 miles.
