BMW says you need 50amp supply so I just plug directly into the transformer off my power pole.

You don't need the 8000amps that some dooshknuckle says some bmw doc claims. Any recent charger w a "coding / flashing" the constant supply mode will be fine. Smart chargers are best but should have that "mode" otherwise they pulse and might fluctuate while coding.

I have a big ass die hard w a constant supply mode that's great but mostly I use Cteks which are also what BMW rebrands for chargers for sale now.

NOCO charger has been solid. It has many functions and can be used with AGM and Lead Acid batteries.

Nothing 95% of the time. A small ctek charger for long stuff (>30 mins without starting the car).

Usually I just run off the battery. A flash takes like 10 seconds with Mssflasher, and NCS stuff is quick as long as you already know the settings you want to change.
