Default Re: Fuel pump issue/quick fix?

It sounded like you weren't getting fuel, which is strange if the pump is priming. That's why I was wondering if the polarity on the pump was reversed. In that case it would still spin up but the impeller would be going in reverse and not actually pulling fuel through the pump. Are you sure the pump is what's priming and not your smg pump (if you have one?) I have a walbro 485 and can't really hear it prime.

Yup I'm a idiot and rushed and didn't pay attention, while i was to amazed at my shrink wrap skills lol. Polarity is good now and the m3 is running. Now I just got to wait for the euro bumper to ship.

Glad you got that sorted, any reason you went with a walbro fuel pump rather than an OE?

It's only around $100 just for the pump itself. And swapping out the two pumps out is easy. Oh and it has a higher flow
Cheapest OE I could find was $320 to $500 and that was for the whole assembly(fuel pump and hanger)
