nope. my 325i did, changed the CCV and it helped but not completely gone. I know 330i's do burn but wasn't sure about my 325i.

But my M3 now doesn't burn oil. Only issue I had was the CPV which I addressed during header install.

Mine consumes nothing using LM 10-60 (even at the track), will use 1/2 qt per OCI running 0w-40 M1 though.

From 0 to 60k-ish miles, it used a quart between 7k oil changes. Since the motor broke in a zillion yrs ago (so to speak), the blue bomber doesn't use a drop.

Zero oil consumption.
TWS since new, 88K on the engine now, OCIs at ~4K (1x/year with my mileage, and per Dinan due to SC which shares oil).

Had to refill 1l the first 8000 kms when I bought my m3. Replaced the valve cover gasket, cpv ring, oil pan gasket, vanos gasket and the vanos solenoid O-rings, never had to refill between changes since. 200k kms/125k miles

I add 1 litre after 2500 miles. 149k miles on the clock. It's burning it, and not leaking at all. I'm going to do headers soon so i'll replace the CPV then. I'm thinking a tear down with bearings & rings replacement will be in my future. But, i put only 5k miles or less per year on my e46, so i'm not too concerned about it.

162K on the clock and no, its not burning oil.

My M3 is quite content with eating my bank account.

My current motor (05MY) doesn’t burn a drop on street or at the track. My first M3 however (01) burned almost a quart every 1000 miles. Had it when the car was under warranty and dealer said it was “normal”.
