Thanks! I actually sourced an entire new Mulberry coupe interior, and a local Mulberry sedan interior. Since as far as I can tell, nobody makes replacement leather or a dye for this color that was my only option. The new Vader’s were 90% immaculate, so I stole some OE leather from the back seats of my spare interiors to make sure it was a perfect match.

Some Gummi-pflege or similar product will (should) bring it back to life.

Hey everyone! I’m back from a long absence.

Long story short, I was offered a very good sum of money for my car along with the complete S54/6 speed swap I had in store, so back in April I made one of the dumbest decisions of my life and let her go.

Well, fast forward to about a month ago I finally got her back. Sadly, the new owner didn’t love her the way I do... The S54 swap is long gone, and she was left sitting outside with the sunroof (broken) cracked in the hot NM sun, even through monsoon season. After 7 months I finally saw the car again, and when I saw her condition I made an immediate cash offer to buy the car back and save her before the damage got too bad.

So here we are. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures to add, but other than the paint on the roof and wing fading back to a less-than-optimal state after a solid deep cleaning, she was looking pretty darn good.

After detail work (and of course putting my Fikse wheels back on which I luckily kept for myself in storage), I immediately got to work on the rear suspension. It was worn before, but when I sold it to a “drifter” you can imagine what kind of state the 197k mile rear end was in. It was sickening... So me and a friend got to work, and finally installed all of the rear suspension components I still had for the car that were also conveniently waiting in storage. After AKG poly cradle/diff bushings and RTAB travel limiters, AKG RTAB and sway bar reinforcement plates, new Lemförder RTAB’s, ball joints, and control arm bushings with Ground Control LCA’s, I can honestly say this is the best driving car I’ve ever owned. She’s so confidence-inspiring in the corners, very predictable, and all around just feels like a brand new car!

So at this point, that’s where we are. In the mail are some super sexy European OE Bosch projector headlights, along with some new OE trans mounts. Within the next week or so I’ll be ordering a Rogue Engineering SSK with UUC DSSR, and it’ll really be time to perfect her!

I’ll be sure to update as I go along, and actually post some pictures again in a few days... but it’s good to be back!
