Default No help elsewhere, so let me try here...

I'm looking for my next weekend/fun car. Figured there might be some cars out there I haven't considered, so casting a wide net here. My last two cars were M3s (2001 and 2008) so you know where I'm coming from.

What I'm looking for:
- Looking to spend around 45k
- Want a "real" sports car, I already have an AWD DD that I can drive in the snow and throw the dog in, this car can be impractical
- Don't want something highly modded. A few mods are acceptable but I will likely only track it 3-5 days a year. This won't be a racecar.
- I'm open to both NA and FI engines.
- Would prefer something newer. I am concerned with high maintenance costs, so "slightly used Ferrari" is not really an option for me
- Want a hard top, no cabs.

Some cars I am/have considered:
- Cayman S (although I really like the new body style on the Boxster...but this means I would have to wait several years)
- Z4M Coupe (which are getting older/harder to find/more miles on them)
- Exige
- Carrera (although I know almost nothing about them)

TBH, my "dream car" would be a 911 TT but in this price range I'm afraid a turbo that old would be a maintenance nightmare/money sink. True?

Anything I haven't considered that I should? First one who says "lightly used GT3" dies.

BRZ, it's the ultimate enthusiasts car with hard top and RWD, and you can sink $15k into rycing it out.

However I have to agree with the Viper suggestion

can you find a 2004 NSX for under 50k?
I thought the early NSXs were finally just under 40k

Damn. Ur right. It looks like they are appreciating even more.

Take NSX out of that.

I would actually say you may be safer with a 996 TT vs the '05-6 997 S which was still prone to RMS. Porschetech can chime in on that one but mine has been bullet proof...

^^^as well as my Z06...if you can't get a GT3, that going to be the next best thing...
