Default Blower Motor Resistor vs Final Stage Unit

I bought two new parts hoping to fix my A/C (a new blower motor in 2004 makes that an unlikely culprit).

I bought the Final Stage Unit and Blower Motor Resistor - below is the DIY for the FSU, but where does the BMR go?

Well I replaced my final stage unit (turns out the resistor was only for dial-style climate control). It was extremely simple - just remove the dash panel under the steering wheel (3 screws) and you can actually access it directly, or you can remove the knee bolster (3 10 mm bolts). The Final stage unit is simply held on by two star-screws (I used an Alan key to turn them), and an electric plug. Anyhow the whole job took 15 minutes and I turned the key and said a prayer - voila! My AC works like new again!

Note: the new style ones have many more, smaller pins than the old one.
