Not to bump an ancient thread, but I was google'ing the vin number of my car and out came this page! I bought this car 2 owners later in October 2013 with 74k miles. It's great to see the history of the car and even greater to see the exact same mods, even the same license plate, had followed the car all this time. The car is still minty clean today @ 76k as it was here at 30k. Not a single scratch or dent, leather looks incredible and all original paint and body panels for a 11 year old car. This really made my day here.

Sorry RichSocal3, after wanting an E46 M3 for over a decade, I have now taken it off Mr. FlightZ's hands

I am working on piecing a comprehensive report and history so I can document the lineage of this car, starting by cross-referencing Carfax + BMW maintenance records for this California-only M3. PPI from the good folks @ Bavarian Motorsport came out clean except for RTABs and CPV needing replacing; no subframe nor VANOS issues phew! I still do plan to get the subframe reinforced within the next 10k or so miles.

And yes, still the EXACT same mods since 2009, plus some extra cosmetics that FlightZ put in, but I am thinking about replacing the AC Schnitzer exhaust as I'm not a fan of the 'figure-8' design (Anyone want to buy it from me? The note is deep yet no drone), as well as the 18'' iForged (still doing DD on a nice set of rims, no offense to OPs friend).

Anyway, those pics from the OP sure are tiny and low res, how about some newer, higher resolution photos that do the car justice and for next time someone googles the VIN.

Going to get Inspection II done this weekend + OEM RTAB + Vorshlag shims. Can't wait to start driving and learning about the E46 M3!

Figured I'd update this thread in case the next owner (if there ever is one, I plan on keeping this forever!) would want to add to the M3Forum history of this car :P
