Default Check control error headlight

Why does my check control say my low beam is out when it’s not?

Factory headlights. Were replaced recently. Both work.

Try disconnecting the bulb and plugging it back in.

Maybe try pulling out the bulbs and look at the sockets, see if there's any corrosion on there or on the headlight housing. I had an issue like this with one of my taillights. Ended up replacing the actual taillight.

I would just bypass the check control module. There is a DIY over on bimmerforums.

Then the shunt on the main beam check circuit is probably broken.

It shouldn't show low beam failure if the bypass was done correctly.
