My dear M3 has been stored inside a warm, humid garage - carefully and lovingly but not driven. Now I found some mold on the interior!
![]() What should I do to clean everything perfectly? Any advice from someone with this experience? Steam clean? Biologic cleaners? Something from BMW for the AC unit? Mold bomb? Hot sun and clean? Thanks everyone. I want to clean this car perfectly. She's a beast and needs some more attention (aka driving). Thanks!!

It depends on the extent of the mold, but yes I would first drive the car to get everything moving, run the AC with the car on and driving, then run the HVAC system with the compress off before shutting the car off again so you can dry it out as much as possible. Then have the AC serviced, drained, recharged etc. I would replace all the filters, the floor mats, remove the seats and have everything cleaned including the carpets with all of the items you mention. It really just depends on the extent of the mold.

Yup depends on how much there is. I would remove most of the interior and use PDP enzyme cleaner 4:1 and also steam clean it. Replace filters and spray a lot of Lysol in the Ac vents. You can remove the final stage resistor and spray Lysol in there then run the ac on full blast and do it all over again.

I bought a moldy E46 wagon earlier this year and did pretty well with diluted ammonia and letting it bake in the sun for a while.
