Default Installing Motion Underpanel

Those that have installed this underpanel...what do you do with this bolt in pic with the green arrow points to below? I am thinking of using and just ream out the hole of the bracket...just for knowledge, what's that bolt for?

That's where your original undertray attached and ripped off.

Do not use Motion's included expanding plastic nuts and do not reuse your original old ones. Buy new OEM parts. Motion's will pull out and your original are likely stripped.

You can also rivnut it as shown in my guide; http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=590177

Dumb question, but my nuts from Motion have done exactly that and pulled out.

Do you know what the OE part number is for those? I can't make heads or tails of the diagrams to find it.

Awesome Brett...my local dealer had them in stock so I placed an order for four at $2 plus change total; however, I'll only have those two bolts as pictured in first post and what Motion supplied...I am also bidding on some stainless steel insert on eBay that I may cancel, since you used aluminum. Where did you get the inverted hex bolt?

Here, you can really see the difference between the stock plastic insert to Motion's which is at the far right. Glad Brett recommended the stock ones.

I have found Ace or True Value to be better than Home Depot, and Lowe’s has slowly depleted stock over the years.
