Default Very random question about my newly acquired 95 M3 - Tail light crossmember

Does anybody happen to have a photo of their coupe with the rear tail lights out? Upon removal and cleaning of the tail lights, I noticed a sizable weld above the seam weld our cars have in the rear that didn’t look original. I’m really hoping it is but thought I’d reach out to confirm. The car is claimed to be a zero accident and zero paintwork car (previous owners are both forum guys). Both VIN tags on quarter panel and trunk are present and all clear. Hopeful that this is just me being paranoid

If any of you guys have a coupe and can check on this, or recall having the same one I’d much appreciate it!

Sweet, look almost identical besides the fact that mine is absolutely filthy compared to your friends. Think you may have something to do with that lol.

Looks original. My 328 had repairs done to the tail light areas, it's definitely much more noticeable than that.

Thanks for the input fellas. Was able to pull the lights off my buddies coupe a few minutes ago and it indeed was exactly the same. Relief!

I don’t see that much weld in Braymond’s pic as in yours. Not that it would mean anything. Even repairs could be done with a ‘factory finish’.

Here’s mine for more reference.

I guess at this point it wouldn’t matter if it was or wasn’t, it’s done flawlessly and identical on both sides, and at this point I’ve seen a few cars that are pretty identical. Both previous owners confirmed zero accidents too (have not spoken to the original owner) No point in me guessing back and forth. I can not tell the least bit of any paintwork on the rear end either.

Gonna just enjoy the car.
