They probably donít even drive a Kia. A mongoose from Walmart maybe.

Obviously this person was very jealous. If it was me in your position I probably would have taken my anger out on my girlfriend lol. So you handled this better than I would have.

This really pisses me off.

It's a garage for the commuter train to DC. Most everyone parking there is a professional going to work and there are plenty of high end cars in the garage. I trend to drive respectfully and defensively as commuters can often drive erratically and I know my car would be an easy target if I were to piss someone off. But it's possible someone didn't like something I did.

I've sometimes seen younger kids in beat up cars hanging out at the top of the garage, doing burnouts, and riding skateboards down the garage ramps. Today I happened to park up near the top as my usual spots lower in the garage were taken.

I'm trying to figure out what kind of shoe the prints are from.

****ing ****. Sorry Sammy. I know how shitty this feels. My GTI got kicked in a few years ago. Don't let it shake your faith in enjoying the car.

Wow that is messed up. I can forward the shoe prints to my friend that is a PD forensics department. You can also post on reddit in /sneaker subreddit.

Thanks dudes. It's probably wisest if I just let it go, but it's really messing with my head. In the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal and I think it can mostly be repaired.

I rather roll in a mongoose. To OP, sorry to see and hear. No rhryme or reason why people do what they do sometimes.

That's sad...find a garage with cameras...surprised that one doesn't have any as I am sure incidents like that have happened before.

I cleaned the shoe and hand prints off the quarter panel and it doesn't look too terrible. Paint looks fine other than a couple small scratches I can buff out. There are at least four dents that should be repairable. I think the panel could be slightly pushed in where it meets the door, but that could just be in my head.

When I filed the police report they told me they have such an overwhelming number of vandalism reports in the area that they created a separate section to handle them. I'd happily pay to be in a garage with an ounce of security, I just haven't been able to find any within walking distance of a local train station.

Sorry to hear OP. Such a nice E36 . PDR should be able to take care of that. Here is a carwow video where the host has his 911 roof completely repaired after someone jumped on it:
