Default Fee up, seat wonít tilt

What tools do I need to lift my seat up to install a seat motor? It appears from reaching under my drivers seat that not everything is connected. I donít have a good back and my drivers seat does not tilt. What tools exactly do I need to fix it. I purchased a motor to install. I am not wealthy I canít afford expensive tools. Please someone point me to an amazon link for tools that will help me get the job done.

It does look like Alan or hex.

Thanks in advance.

It's not the motor, it's the plastic gear inside that broke. You need torx bits and varying lengths. It's fiddly job.

Google E36 Recline Seat Gear and you will see plenty of options to purchase the correct gear. Make sure you are buying the correct gear and for the correct side. You'll also notice the Google search shows plenty of DIY's.

Oddly enough I bought this motor. Will this do the job?
