Still, 10ís been my main OS at home two years, and a day one install. Wife has it on the tower I built her and on her XPS15. Itís on the SFF set top PC I have in the living room too. Have had few problems with it and I have a ton of shit going on mine. Lightroom, Ableton, Illustrator, Plex, games, Rift, etc.

Default dell is lame

I actually love Windows 10 and it hasnít given me a problem yet...

Iíve had to replace HD/battery/fans on a Windows PC before, but I guess nothing something as finicky as a power jack. A bit more research points to tons of users with this same problem.

The XPS is a sexy machine and the 4K screen is nothing short of stunning. Really enjoy using it for photo editing.

GTX 1050 graphics lets me play some decent games; CSGO 1080p ultra 80-100+ FPS; PUBG in 1080p with a mix of medium, high, and ultra settings 65 FPS.

Dell support sucks until you get into ProSupport level, which costs big money.

Had to replace the powerport on a Dell laptop that went thru 4 years of hardcore abuse while at school, and the laptop lasted a total of 10 years after a memory and HDD upgrade 5 years into it. Oh, also had to replace the cfl backlight in like year 7. Was impressed that Dell offers full repair manuals for their gear. At least they used to. Really impressed with their products, their price range has gone up, and for the same price as a MBP I'd rather get a latitude like 10 recommends.

Now have a cheap Acer that's so far survived 3 years of teenagers, which is probably like 15 in adult years.

Looking at getting a nice laptop again (leaning towards a gaming rig) now that all the kids have chromebooks.

Just called to check on the status of my expedite - (they told me theyíd call back within 2 hours and 24 hours later they never did).

They just told me they forgot to add the battery to the service list and now thatís back ordered and delayed.

LMFAO.

What a dog shit company.

I was worried about voiding my warranty replacing the DC power jack myself.......... but what warranty? This warranty is useless.

Currently in max frustration at Dell mode right now - but Iíll still say my XPS is a MBP killer.

Just wretched customer service.

Default dell is lame

Oh and on another tech tangent - I ordered the new (wireless) Kingston HyperX Flight headset ..... I thought it was kind of quiet at 100% volume compared to some of my other headsets.

Talked to an English speaking, USA living, human on the phone ON PRESIDENTS DAY - and within 48 hours I had a brand new one on my doorstep.

Not thatís excellent customer service. Donít expect Dell to be handing out new replacement $2,000 laptops left and right for anyone having issues - but a battery and a charger that are BOTH in stock brand new on Dellís website canít get in the hands of the tech repair guys within TWO WEEKS? Are you f***ing kidding me? They told me they have to use tested, refurbished parts for all repairs. No new parts.

Insane.

Entire motherboard needs to be replaced. Unit wonít even power on now.

(After a Dell service tech came and performed the DC port repair and swapped the charger; came battery-less per my request due to above issues).
