this is one of those fun polls where all those people who hate FI engines choose the FI engines over possibly the best NA road engine ever built.

It's almost like there's more to the car than the engine.

Eh there is, but if the engine doesn't excite me then my interest is already lost.

That's like saying you met a girl that you aren't actually physically attracted to, but if you keep talking to her you will realize you should marry her despite that minor detail.

$150k car is supposed to be an emotion decision. There is nothing logical about a $150k practical luxury muscle car.

Might as well just have an electric motor in your uber wagon.

All a matter of opinion. There are enough people who do find it logical and appealing that thereís a market. To me, there is plenty of emotion in a monster V8 hauling a practical chassis around and embarrassing supercars.

And anyone who says an AMG engine is the same experience as an electric motor is flat out crazy.

I mean I've driven the E63 S Wagon in the pole hard on more than one occasion and it did not feel "wild" to me. It felt like a large/heavy and stable muscle car that was fully under control of it's self. The engine was very very strong, but in a very clinical way. I'm sure your exact statement has been said many times of 400 or 500 hp cars in the not so distant past. Now those are midrange numbers no one calls wild.

The 662 hp GT500 with the live rear axle is what I would call wild in my experience, within this class of heavy over powered cars.
