Default Place to install Vincebar/CMP/Mason Braces in MD?

Hey all,

I have recently picked up a 06 M3.

The car has TMS plates welded on and was told that it was done in preventative manner.

Now, while reading upon rear crack issues, I thought why not do top reinforcement to really bulletproof the issue for good?

However, Vincebar / CMP bar seems to require extensive installation procedure and saw that not many shops have enough hands on experience in installing them vs. Just welding plates on underneath.

Can anyone recommend a shop for the top bar fix?

On a second thought, Mason braces seems to be another decent alternative, according to many. And the braces having a plus side of being not tooooooo difficult or complicated to install. So I would assume there will be more shops that might be willing to perform the job?

Anyhow, any inputs are much appreciated and thank you in advance!

The good thing about the cmp kit vs the mason bar is you have solid steel mounts at all 4 corners. I am fixing to do the cmp either start this weekend or the next. It will be on the lift a few days. The plus about the mason bar is it can be installed without removing the rear suspension like you do for the Vince bar or cmp kit. I am doing the install my self. It comes with very clear instructions on what order and exactly where to cut. Every single step with pictures are included. Idk who to recommend as I wouldnít trust anyone else to put it in I have been welding for 30+ years honestly I would recommend the mason bar since itís really easy to install and it can be installed in under a day if you have done one before and I donít see why any competent shop will mess it up because itís a bolt in brace vs weld in. Absolutely no welding for the mason bar.

Piper Motorsports is probably a safe bet.

Maybe RRT Racing.

Neither are in MD but are close enough.

That reason was the most common one I've seen when people went for Mason vs. CMP/Vince. It would be great if you can post feedbacks when you are done!

York Automotive in Mt Airy, MD. Tell them Peter sent you.

They do all the track prep work on my M3. Owner is former racer. Their rates are reasonable (RRT rates are nuts).
