Over on the Z4M board a sufficent amount of noise has been made asking for a group buy on the Vibra-technics motor mounts.
It looks like that they have about 18 people and for it to happen 30 is about the right number. Its looking like right now pricing would come out to 265 shipped if 20 people jump on and 250 a set if we do 30. this is tentative pricing that has not been set in stone. Mostly because I need to post in officially on the Z4M board, but being a M3 owner I am here daily, reading and ruining my bank statements. Now because the M3 uses the trans brace that could be incorporated into the deal somehow if the demand was there. That said let me address a few things. As it stands right now many people on here have bought and been largely happy with them. No product is perfect and I have experienced some complaints. One of the primary complaints is that while the way the mount is constructed it appears as if the mount is rebuild-able. Early on Vibra-techincs was more open to sending the rubber parts out to be replaced. however this is no longer the case, they have currently no interest in supplying either the end customer or any vendor the rubber elastomer bushings for replacement, this is upsetting to both me and the customer. Its possible that in the future this may change however I have my doubts. That said if we do the transmission mounts I personally do not know what exhausts clear the transmission mounts. I am totally willing to help document clearance issues and get this incorporated into the drawings for the parts going forward to facilitate clearance issues being solved. Stan was a huge help making this happen last time and can vouch for the quality of the parts. If you are running big power such as a supercharger or a turbo please consider the stiffer set of mounts. that would be +10 dollars for the motor mounts. I have seen some failures of the street mounts (namely 1) that we warranted but that was on a tracked supercharged E92 M3. If you have questions please ask, I do my best on trying to get back to everyone within 24 hours however if you need a answer about something right away please just call me. |

I can only say positive things about the mounts.
No grinding issues no more on my z4m Paired them with rogue tranny mounts and they are awesome. Too bad you cannot rebuild them no more though but worth every single penny. |

Frustrating that these aren't rebuildable. I have a set that have worn past what I call acceptable and I've placed solids back in my car.

You have 1000+ hp and were on street mounts. Im not shocked they died. I feel like you would have better success if you had bought the comp mount.
If i recall correctly i spoke to you about this at one point. Was it you that was breaking tabs off the back of your transmission? |
