Default Just finished a STI-R Stealth Install

Hi guys,
just got a beltronics sti-r plus + antilaser g9 install done...

My question is...the radar detector sensor is hidden inside the grill behind the laser jammer. Not the kidney grills but the grills underneath.

My concern is if i have an issue with it hidden away from the view of the road...would it not detect all the bands properly/ would it pose as a problem? The mechanic said there is no issue with it being concealed as Canadian installs are normally done behind the grill for the radar and the laser jammer has to be the one showing outside the grill to block the laser guns. The radar cannot be showing since cops are more prone to taking the car apart if they are outward showing.

Is this valid?

Thanks.

I don't think you will have an issue with the Radar detector sensitivity but the G9 needs to be unobstructed from what the guys at KMPH.ca tell me.

How many G9 sensors are you running total?

I was running 2 in the front and one in the rear, last september I got beamed with the laser gun on my way back from Toronto close to Barrie and I slowed and powered off the G9 right away.

The OPP waved me in and told me to give them the jammer or they were gonna impound my car and rip it apart looking for it.

It gives them an error code on their gun that they were not able to get the speed but this cop was on the ball it seems.

Be careful, I gave them my 2 front sensors and they never gave me a ticket but those sensors are not cheap.....

They have never detected my STI Driver by Beltronics and I have been using that for over a year now.

The G9 Anti-laser I am not sure about....
