Default Bad syncro question

I have an 02 m3 with manual trans. and a bad third gear syncronizer. I am having trouble finding any transmission shop willing to work on this tranny. I was wondering if anyone knows if this transmission is servicable, and if it's not, what my options would be to have it fixed beyond buying a brand new transmission from the dealer? Is there a better source than ebay to find a good used transmission?? Thanks in advance for your help!

Its a getrag 6 speed transmission. Similar to the ones you would find on a 6 speed MKIV supra. The trans is serviceable by a trained trans professional I would DEFINITELY not recommend anyone making it a diy project. If the shops are telling you they can't service it think of it this way they saved you trouble in bs'ing you they can. Look around i'm sure you'll find someone able.
