Presented by Ian Lindvig and Dan Law of DER Motorsports. The videos star Dan Law, from lots of interesting angles
![]() NB: You need the latest version of quicktime to watch the downloadable versions These videos were made using a GC suspension, as at the time we made these videos they were the best option for many people. We will soon be updating them with TCK, but the install procedures are very much the same regardless of what kit you get (including PSS9s, KWs (though with KWs the ride heigh adjustor on the rear goes on top of the spring and the top rubber pad goes underneath it), etc as well). Here is an excellent written DIY with pictures, listing all the steps clearly (thanks to mikymu) http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=179844 Download video in full quality here (save link target): Jacking NOTE: Forgot to put it in the video, buy make sure you disconnect the auto leveling arm before removing the front shocks. You MUST do this or it could snap. (the auto leveling arm is the small bracket attached to the control arm on the passenger side only) Download video in full quality here (save link target): Front Suspension Removal Download video in full quality here (save link target): Front Strut Assembly Download video in full quality here (save link target): Front Suspension Installation Download video in full quality here (save link target): Trunk Liner Download video in full quality here (save link target): Rear Suspension Removal Download video in full quality here (save link target): Rear Suspension Installation Note on Rear suspension install: If you are installing KWs, the rear ride height adjustor goes on TOP of the spring, not underneath like all other kits. In addition, the rubber pad that was mounted on top of the stock spring should be used underneath the KW spring (between the control arm and the spring). Download video in full quality here (save link target): RSM Lubing Download video in full quality here (save link target): RTABs Download video in full quality here (save link target): FCABs Download video in full quality here (save link target): Front Sways Download video (both parts) in full quality here (save link target): Rear Sways Download video in full quality here (save link target): Tie Rods Download video in full quality here (save link target): Trunk Trimming

My $.02
I can vouch for Ian and Dan's contribution as this is an exceptional video! I find myself going back and re-watching certain chapters every once in a while. It is probably the handiest of tools I have found ever since I purchased my suspension one year ago. The video should eliminate lots of unnecessary threads and posts about suspension install as of late, be it rtabs, fcabs, coilovers, c/c plates, etc. Dan really takes his time and shows us how to “do it right”. Everything from lubricating to torquing critical components and eliminating unwarranted “squeaks” and “noises” people so frequently whine about. Every chapter is as clear as it gets and I can say with confidence that the video will likely serve as the most valuable tool in anybody’s arsenal. ![]() Great job guys! |
