Most likely talking about any kit that isn't obscenely expensive or doesn't fit into strict track day duty as an intended use. I personally have BC Racing Coilovers on my car and DD it just fine. They can be rough at times, but my 19s aren't helping with that either and it's to be somewhat expected with a low car. I've had three sets of these coilovers and have always had good luck with them but YMMV. For what it's worth, I would buy them again and most likely will when the time comes.

Not sure how much you've read into this thread, or into suspension setups in general (assuming not much) but all the suggestions thus far have been very cost effective/least expensive. Go up and read through what's been posted, and you likely won't find anyone mentioning an obscenely expensive setup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've had my ST's for two years and 15k miles. I love the way they ride for daily driving. They go super low it that's what you're into.

Yet you still haven't addressed the fact that the recommended koni setups are about as inexpensive as the poor quality Chinese ones that you advocated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Boys boys, what is happening right now
![]() I just wanted to know what is an individuals opinion on daily driving suspension setup for preferably under $1000. Both opinions are appreciated. I believe the BC setup would be a bit aggressive, then again they are only $995 for a fully adjustable coilover. My question to Steve M3, why is this your 3rd set? |

They are made in Taiwan, not China, if you care. There are plenty of products made in China that people here seem to love though, go figure. |

I wish 5 years ago I would have researched suspension options much further before settling on ST coilovers. After install I thought the car performed better adn assumed the harshness was because it was handling so much flatter and was now much "sportier". Little did I know the damers were just crap and pporly matched to the springs. After a couple years I was sick of feeling like I was riding in some sh*t box and wanted my car to feel like a BMW M car again, sold the ST coils for less than half what i paid for them, did a TON of research and based on my budget decided on Koni ane Eibach springs. Car rides better than stock and no more harshness.
I used to stick up for the ST coils thinking they were getting a bad rep on the forum but the people who knock them or warn people off of them on here are the people who have had them or drove in cars with them compared to other setups. The people who think they are amazing are the guys who have nothing to compare to. Who's opinion would you roll with? I think the comment above about "assuming not much" research has been done is likely because there are tons of threads going over this topic on this forum (ie. budget coils vs. koni/springs)
