I have my vortech 2.62" pulley coated by carbonite, definitely felt a difference. My Gates belt shred in 1000 miles (pulley and belt both new at the time of the install), so I need to contact them about that...

OK, that may shy me away from doing the mod. I would hate to have to do an SC belt on the side of the highway. Not impossible but what a pain...

That's why I want to call them and see what the problem is. The coating most definitely works though!

Yes, it's an 8 Rib belt. I just ordered a new one and should have it installed on wednesday. I'll update after install.
I was also running a FleetRunner (green) Which is supposed to be 30% stronger but who knows why this happened. I ordered the same one.

Unbelievable. Just after saying my idlers were quiet. I start my car today and hear it slight chirping sound from an idler. haha.. It went away like yours does though. It doesn't bother me, yet... New idlers about 10,000kms ago.

Bavarian Technic software does work to clear adaptations. I have one and use it all the time to clear mine for every mod i put in. Make sure his software is updated.

Spark plug gaps should be between .025" and .027" to ensure you dont get blow out. You can tell if you are getting blow out when your exhaust sounds like it's burbling... If your spark plugs are gaped properly and you are still getting blow out, then your ignition coils are going bad. I had this issue with the crappy coils, changed them to Bosch and haven't had an issue. I recently added Okada which now i'm running stock gap.

Holy crap. Damn you must either have a boost leak then, or there is an issue with the blower considering you're losing so much boost pressure suddenly.

I have noticed a noise which was there before the belt/ tension swap but I thought it is just the belt because It was prematurely wearing. I am starting to think it may be one of the idlers or the blower it self. I will be contacting AA tomorrow and here is a video of the noise I am talking about.

Looks like your running the 6 rib belt. The belt they recommended looked a little big to me. I changed the belt a few days ago and it did help a little but not completely. It makes about 1-2psi more but I should see 11.5-12. I did a pull from 4th gear starting at about 2.5k rpm and for the first time I saw the afr lean out from 10 flat. They need to put the dyno under load or just drive it on the highway and nail it from 3rd gear at about 6k like I normally do to easily see the problem.I told them to add the SC turnbuckle bracket.

As soon a I hear frm them I will update.

GL, this really sucks!! My car was faster at 415whp than 490.
