Default Would you straighten a wheel?

Are there any metallurgists in the crowd?
They found a slightly out of round wheel while putting new tires on my M3. I looked at it, and it was just a little out, on the inside. The wheel balanced out just fine, and you can’t feel a thing on the road. However, I’m picky as all hell, and if it’s not perfect I’m not happy.
Does anyone know the process to straighten a wheel out? Do they use heat, and if so will reheating a cast ZCP wheel weaken it?

Default Re: Would you straighten a wheel?

I work for BMW and we have wheels straighten all the time and I advise not to do it. Wheels has taken a shot and some say it's OK. But BMWs wheel and tire insurance says replace.
