hey guys,
i own an alpine type R dvc 4ohm sub which I mounted in the ski pass. I currently am pushing it with a sound ackoustic bullshit amp which worked perfect in my old car pushing two of these wired to an aftermarket headunit. Now in my M3, wired to the stock headunit, it cuts out at high volumes. Tbh i am over trying to diagnose this unless someone else has any suggestions that i havent tried. Basically Im asking for an amp that puts out about 500-600RMS and that can run with the factory headunit with no problems. (This means that it doesnt cut out at high volumes). I also would like to keep it at 250-300$ if possible. I have 4ga wiring already. If anyone has any suggestions also from a place such as bestbuy because I like the fact that if it does suck i can return it - that would be ideal. thanks an advance.

I would suggest the Alpine PDX-M6, but it will be out of your budget.

looks good, i see them in the 300-350$ range which isnt too bad.
why did you choose this one? (aside that it would be a good match for the sub).

Puts out a solid 600w rms at either 2/4 ohms and have been a big fan of the new PDX series amps.
