You can get a 2006 Cayman in the 20s, but that will be beat, of the engine exploding 996 generation, and have all the fun oil starvation issues the pre 2009s had. Also no LSD, power, or particularly great interior.

Exactly. Also, if you are buying this car in an automatic, you really don't understand the reasoning behind this car. If you are not into cars, like the styling and are looking for great gas mileage, I can understand the decision of the automatic. Harris loved the engine, probably because he understands that it doesn't take big hp to make a great engine.

I can understand that the plastic interior will deter some buyers, but this has a lot to do with the $25k price tag. If you put a quality interior in the car, you are probably looking at a $30k base.

I hope they option these things out like the Mini Coopers at some point. Pick and choose what performance options you want. Racing seats, brembos, etc.

it's almost the same power to weight as a US spec e36 m3(12hp more needed to be on par), the engine is fine for that car.
