So this only has happened to me twice (two separate drives), both times in the last two months.
Basically at idle I'll get a ping ping followed by an idle dip, then repeat. If I gently touch the throttle and keep the RPM at 1-1.1k rpms it completely stops, and car drives perfectly otherwise. It's only happened after the car has been fully warmed up, and usually after Around a 1/2 hour drive. No codes being thrown, and I'll have access to DIS, etc this week when my cable comes in. Any thoughts on what I should check? It's rather intermittent when it's happening and has only happened twice during two drives. I tried to get my phone out to record it but didn't get anything useful. Also - MIGHT have a vacuum leak, because occasionally the idle oscillates. That said, I did have a full smoke test with all leak fixed at the end of last summer. Edit: oil level is 1/16" below full line Last edited by MSpeedAddict; Mon, Apr-23-2012 at 07:13:29 PM. |

What is winter-summer gas switch?
I'm not familiar with this. Bad gas, slight possibility, both times I went to a Turkey Hill, although different stations. I'm alpha-N, and air filter is new last summer. Thanks for the suggestions, any more keep em coming |

They were worn, 56k miles on original plugs. Car ran smoother and faster!
