If heat is the issue, remove the heat if you can.

Yesterday in the valley it went up to 93..its close to a year after the resistor mod, zero lights or dropped gears.

I had given this some thought even gone as far as thinking of routing a brake duct hose to the pump but there's too many bends to get sufficient airflow. But after finding out the temp sensor is the culprit, I dropped the idea of using a thermal shield of some sort... even though it wouldn't hurt to add more protection.

just did mine today wrapped it with electrical tape and gorilla tape. thanks for this DIY

i did this mod last year when i was experiencing this issue. glad to report i have not had any cog light appear or tranny dropping out of gears since. ** knock on wood - another hot summer just around the corner..
