Resurrecting this thread -- again.

The ballast I replaced 10 months ago appears to be acting up.

Before, the passenger-side would intermittently flicker, so I replaced the ballast with a used one from eBay ($140). All was fine.

Now, the driver-side appears to be dimmer than the passenger-side (when not flickering intermittently) AND the passenger-side is intermittently flickering, or going off/on by itself, or going out completely (and throwing the headlight warning on the dash) until I turn the headlights off/on.

The car is now going on 8 years old with 65k miles, so both ballasts are probably shot. New ones are just too expensive. I might just buy two more used ones. Then again, maybe new ones will last longer?

Ugh. My drivers side headlight developed a slight flicker today. I think it turned off and back on immediately one time. At first I thought it was my imagination but when I got home I realized it was indeed the dreaded flicker!

I'm thinking maybe something is just loose since I ran though a pot hole the size of an atomic bomb crater this morning. Ill probably do the 1-2-3 that tiger Dave recommended but I'll likely have to wait till the weekend. Dammit. I'll Post up anything interesting.

Btw, its an 03 coupe.

On a side note, aside from fixing problems, do new xenon bulbs make your headlights any brighter? I was thinking about getting some from Khoalty anyhow.

Seriously!?!?! A ground issue with the TAILlights can cause the HEADlights to flicker!?!?
And there's allegedly a TIS on this too?
