I know on my E46 M3, it uses plain rubber valve stems, no TPMS sensors. The TPMS system is based on tire rotation measurement, not directly measuring pressure.

So, unless your car is different, it won't use the sensor anyway, and therefore doesn't matter what sensor is in the wheel.
