Great info as always, Ian. I've learned a lot from what you've written, but what I really want to know is not so much what tire sizes I can run but what works best to achieve neutral handling and reduce the intervention of DSC. I'm only concerned with the street, as I don't track it enough to have that factor in.

I've got old PS2 245s and new V12 275s right now, and I just got a new set of fronts which should improve their grip. Will this setup still understeer significantly? Would a front sway bar help, or is a square setup the only answer?

If square is best (I'm thinking 265s square) what are the downsides for the street? Tramlining is caused by wide front tires (I believe), so could I expect bad tramlining around town?
