Default Re: Comprehensive MSS54/MSS54HP DME Information

ok all my turn Pretty sure I have a comparison of Euro to US vanos mapping here. Granted vanos operation is much more complex then just the big maps but these are the main ones I believe. I have included the offsets / filenames / and conversions I used in the attached excel file as well here:

Code:
Vanos Exploration Note: offsets are noted from .BIN format
ODA file Note: Data scaling: map scaling = 1, X scaling = 1, Y scaling = 0.003052
EURO A7837908.0DA Note: both version have the same map storage offsets
USA A7842974.0DA Note: all 4 maps are 16x16 8bit maps w/ 16 bit x and y scale

                                 offset xoffset yoffset
Intake Map 1 04FD0 4F90 4FB0
Intake Map 2 5112 50D2 50F2
Exhaust Map 1 52F6 52B6 52D6
Exhaust Map 2 5438 53F8 5418
The following is part of the excel file I have placed here. I strongly believe these are the correctly scaled "Exhaust vanos map 1" for the USA and Euro maps mentioned above for comparison. All 4 maps for each version are included in the excel file, but I only pasted these 2 intake maps here as to not take up a ton of space.

It is worth noting that the RPM axis is slightly different between most of the maps so remember to take that into consideration when looking at them. All the maps are very interesting, but in this on in particular the Euro maps run significantly more Exhaust vanos angle than US in the mid range/mid load ans low range / low load areas.

Check out the spreadsheet and have a look for yourself!
