Not a knock against a rear x-brace (as I was considering one myself), but just a cautionary tale for the noobs... while they may provide a degree of RACP reinforcement for the rear subframe mounting...

This has been discussed before, but probably because 2x2 weave is easier to stretch around complicated shapes (i.e. curves), and is also inherently stronger than 1x1.

The short answer is YES, it is SMG compatible! The how we got there is a whole 'nother story though. The original V1 D/S (and ALL previous CF D/S's to my knowledge up to that point)...

IIRC, that particular one was being offered by The Driveshaft Shop and also weighed around 20ish lbs (same or heavier than stock)...nullifying some of the benefits of going...

I use to do something similar, but now use Race Ramps w/a drive over ramp & front stopper for a more permanent solution...works perfect for parking & having enough clearance for a jack.

I would prolly install the tile floor first, then get your lift on brother D. It's prolly gonna be easier to install/cut out sections of the tiles vs having to cut tiles to fit around something-IDK.

Simple economics...because these cars are aging and value has dropped significantly since new, not everybody is looking to spend 25% (or more in some cases) of their car's value on OE CSL parts....

Just stumbled across this on my FB feed-doh! I have no horse in the race either way, and it wouldn't surprise me if it's 100% true...but doesn't bode well for SGT, and that's also gotta be painful...

I'm SMG, so not apples to apples vs. a 6spd, but I can say w/confidence that the VT trans mount did firm up shifts, and when combined w/their motor mounts as well...def gave the car a more direct...
