Re: What are your top 5 mods?

1) ZHP knob (first thing I do for all my cars)
2) Brace. Made a nice difference, and I only paid $100 for one
3) Upgraded headlights
4) Style 24, very light
5) An alignment

I can't believe how much progress has been done since I've last checked. Just read it front to back (slow day at work). This is absolutely amazing. Looking forward to seeing the car buttoned up.

Re: Would you buy a Euro E36 M3 as an enthusiast?

So many egos. Even if you have a mint E36 M3, it's probably worth what, $20-25k? So less than the price of a new Accord.

The whole idea of an E36 is that it's fun and pretty robust. It doesn't...

Not the cleanest engine bay, but far from run a mile away and scrap the car IMO.

None of my engine bays are detailed, but they also don't leak anything. Minus the Z4M, that car leaks everything.

Re: Introducing myself: 1999 Techno Violet E36 M3 Coupe

Wow, 2014 since I've updated this thread. I guess seeing all these clean E36's lately motivated me get the car out and running. The car is currently at 140k miles and has been retired from DD duty...

Re: My 2nd e46 M3 stint is over

I think there's definitely more room for the GT4's to depreciate. If the 718 GT4 comes out with a 4L flat 6 and has a manual option, there's no doubt the first gen's will drop more into the 80s for a...

Rear the whole thing. Awesome revival

I actually remember that picture of your car when your friend owned it. I wanted to replicate something like that with my Techno Violet coupe.

Chris, sorry to hear about all this! Hopefully it all works out.

Re: Sold the Jet Black, picked up an E90 M3

For what it's worth, I personally think getting test pipes was one of my favorite mods for my E92. The 4 to 6k really got better.

I personally still prefer the S65 to the S54 in my Z4MR, but I...

Re: M-car Dream Garage

Currently have 3 M's that I paid around $67k for them, not counting mods and repairs.

E92 M3, 6MT
E36 M3, 5MT
Z4MR, 6MT

Ideally, I'd want to add an M2 Comp (LBB and 6MT) and an E60 M5, but...

May I ask why another e36 and not some kind of other M for the street? What happened to the 1M?

OP, how about an F10 5er? Might fit budget and would be a really comfy DD

Re: Post Pics of your Pride and Joy!

I love it! Very cleanly modded.

I'm still shocked that mine has barely been touched in 3 years of ownership. I just can't decide whether to mod the E36 or the Z4MR.
