Re: re-dye, re-upholster or leave them alone?

It should last similar to the factory paint, or close to it. The only thing I'm worried about is the filler - wonder how it will hold. I guess we'll know soon enough.

Re: re-dye, re-upholster or leave them alone?

I have just restored an e46 m3 seat using Leatherworld Tech stuff – while in the end it worked out ok, I do not recommend these products as they were really crap.

The seat was in a rough shape,...

Re: Oil on spark plug? Common problem?

How many miles on the car? When was the last valve adjustment done?
If the car has close or over 65-80K miles or last valve adjustment has been more than 30K miles ago, might need to do it anyway.

Re: re-dye, re-upholster or leave them alone?

Most people do not realize that leather in most cars, E36 and 99% of BMWs included, is not the leather you typically see on a couch or leather recliner. Or office chair.

It is completely sealed,...

Detailers use same cleaners, but you have to keep in mind that detailers are not restorers. They clean, not fix.

Re: Is my poor e46 M3 totaled?

You can, but they limit the miles you can drive your "classic" car. Usually its something like 5K a year.

Re: Anyone know how to replace the side view mirror glass?
