Yeah we've been communicating via PM, I told him he prob didnt tighten the hubs tight enough and most likely cams slipped, he will try to disassemble and move everything independently this weekend.

If you got the crank to the O, you are close to tdc (unless you are 180 out). Cam lobes on cyl 1 pointing toward each other around 45 degrees or away...

But it's weird that you were able to rotate it to get to the other 3 bolts and then it stopped rotating. I wonder if the first 3 bolts were tight enough or not.

You have to try to tighten and loosen in opposites pattern because there is some movement and preload. Can you try to retighten all 12 and then see if you can turn the crank pulley counter clockwise...

So after you rotated to tighten the last 3 and you said it was fine then, that is about 2 full crank revolutions. Did you rotate it any more before rechecking the timing bridge?

That was not instruction to do the entire job by turning the engine ccw. It was specific to where OP was in his steps and pictures he posted. He was past tdc by about 20 degrees, and with timing...

Loosen the hubs and remove the splines by rotating the cams counter clockwise with a 24mm. Assuming crank pin is in. Both cams are over advanced right now.

Be careful if you remove the hubs...

Loosen exhaust hub, get a 24mm between 2nd and 3rd cyl lobes and turn exhaust cam clockwise.

Fyi its ok to turn the crank counter clockwise, you dont need to only turn it clockwise (direction is based on facing the engine from the bumper)

By sprocket, I'm assuming you are talking about the spline...

You need to turn the crank counter clockwise however far you turned it clockwise since splines have been out. Insert the splines back...

Yes you have to do it preventatively, either buy a hub with larger tabs and use original pump disc or use original (or replacement hub if original tab(s) were broken) and pump disc with redrilled...

That's prob least of his worry right now if exhaust side turned over while intake did not. I'd expect bent intake valves and piston damage on at least 2 cylinders.

Find someone who can perform a vanos test for you (someone with DIS, autologic at a friendly indy, etc). That can provide more info.

There is definitely more stress and wear from higher lifts and durations of 288/280, I think their onramps are cut steeper. You need to replace followers and maybe springs/retainers to avoid valve...

On my version of spreadsheet, looks like rear swaybar values got increased for both diameter and thickness to turner rear bars, which I never changed from stock because I'm on stock rears...so check...
