Re: Is Epic’s Alpha N “close enough” to MAP setup w/ carbon airbox?

You're so biased Leighton :rofl2:

"Can't use any other pre-filter housing? :rofl2: That's a real complaint? Evolve's box is made a very specific way with a unique end, obviously.

Re: Is Epic’s Alpha N “close enough” to MAP setup w/ carbon airbox?

Of course. You'll also have a tune that's more performance vs. stock (csl), though the csl tune, also modded to for u.s. cams (if that's what you have), can be modded by a tuner for further...

Re: Streamline & Dr M3an M3's CSL Airbox Development Journal Collaboration

My bad if there's not going to be a plaque on production ones, that'd be the way to go. Still a bit of a pisser. In Streamland, it seems it continues to be better to get a mutch later produced part...

I doubt any tuner would say on the record that they'd do it for you.

Re: Streamline & Dr M3an M3's CSL Airbox Development Journal Collaboration

Shame that plaque is so cringe worthy :taser:

Pretty simple, which I suppose could seen as a positive (I wouldn't; none would have been the best), but such an evolve rip off, and then some guy...

Re: Is Epic’s Alpha N “close enough” to MAP setup w/ carbon airbox?

That's not correct, no.

You could go hassan style or rig up a shoe box to the TBs, doesn't matter what type of manifold you have (if larger than stock [CSL style usually]), you're implementing MAP...

Re: HELP: Need quick stock measurement Porsche 996 caliper mounting boss

Ya that's what I thought. I got 6.5mm left of material on a caliper machined down 5.5mm, so that gives a plateau of 12mm (or very close to) which means a pair of 996s ...425 & ... 426 would be flat...

Ok 425 and 426 are correct.

Can you take a photo from the side, rather than down?

Re: HELP: Need quick stock measurement Porsche 996 caliper mounting boss

I have a caliper on hand that's machined down the 5.5mm for 345mm rotors, so I can compare. Might take me a while.

Oh, I think I figured it out, sorry to say - those look like rears to me. See...

Re: Any news on Black Friday/Cyber Monday Deals?

You must not be old enough or have heard how bad the smog was in la years ago. We need SMOG regulations.

You guys bashing Cali are quite myopic. Making modding more difficult might kinda suck...

Re: E46 M3 stock airbox tech

The ducting/elbow tube is in the brake duct channel, I wouldn't call it the fog light area. As I understood OP, he wants to remove the fog light and make more ducting. I came to that conclusion...

Of course not, there's supposed to be a foglight there right?

You'd have to make modifications.

Re: Should I buy this car?

I couldn't imagine spending more than about $12k on a vert (with how abundant/cheap they are). Conversly, I'd spend up to like $30k (or like 20k + 10k in instant mods) on a nice 6spd coupe.

Or...
