My car has 182k on it. I doubt that a 180k trans/diff fetch a whole lot. Subframe, sways, suspension arms are also original, only springs/shocks are newer. The newer parts that are on it though...

I drove a 458, too, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and agree it was super tight for being tracked all the time.

Not to undersell Porsche in any way, but the 458 made the same HP/liter as the new GT3...

I didn't dispute that you can daily a GT car, just saying that a 'base' Cayman/911 S or GTS is already more than capable on the street. Buying a GT3/GT4 is ALMOST overkill if you don't track at all....

That is odd... I guess they figure they only need the cars to last 100k miles till most people dump em, hence the 'lifetime' fluid service lives and so on. Just another sign that they care more...

I think the idea is that were comparing the overall 'condition' of the cars. Not just maintenance.

Buy a $10k M3 and you'll have to put around 15k in to get it close to the condition of the $25k...

FCP has the Sachs kit for the $300ish price too-- likely exactly the same part per the stamps on it. ECS also has the Luk kit for $313

Ah dang, yeah if I go with the Luk flywheel, Sachs clutch/pressure plate (cheaper than Luk for some reason..?), and OE pilot/TO bearings it comes out to $880. Probably worth it.?

Well alright guys thanks so much for the help. I think I'll order a Luk flywheel, Luk clutch/pp kit, and OE pilot and throwout bearings. Looks like around $800 all together on ECS
