Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

As someone who has done it many times, I have to disagree. Also, my point is that you hear about people doing involved engine/suspension DIY work that involves real tools and thinking and they are...

Wow... They think because you want more info that you are going to be a pain in the ass customer and don't even want bother. Says a lot about them.

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

For non-purists/speculators, this is the absolutely obvious value move. It takes almost nothing to swap an interior, but you still see guys doing DIY vanos jobs and shying away from this for some...

Re: My warm up procedures.

Thanks for the heads up, guys. I remember getting into the car after driving it hours beforehand and most of the lights were out already. Thinking that it had to be the water temp to already be...

Re: My warm up procedures.

I'm interested in hearing responses as well.

I don't look at the water temp lights because they are pointless. I suppose the csl programming for them might be slightly better but still inferior...

Re: On e46 M3 values: is the secret already out?

His post is silly, but I do feel like most of the parts cars I see are verts.

Re: On e46 M3 values: is the secret already out?

If you like SMG and vert you can avoid some of the crazy markup for the good color combos. That's the main advantage of these cars. You won't be paying 7-10k more for a worse car unlike the coupes....

Re: Differential Failure ~121k

I understand that the right side has a shorter extension into the cavity, but it still seems excessive compared to normal for these cars IMO.

Edit: It also feels like metal on metal, rough, and...

Differential Failure ~121k

Hello,
It appears that my 2004 M3 with 121k miles has experienced a differential failure. The car feels like it is only being propelled by the left wheel and the right axle has extensive play at the...

Re: BMW upset with E46 M3 enthusiasts

The guy unironically said it's better to drive faster with less engagement. And this is why enthusiasts with enough money move on to Porsche... when even a BMW leader tells you to do so.

Surely...

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

If you list SMG/paddle shift cars as manual on sales websites you are akin to a person that spits gum out on the ground at a store entrance. Yeah, I can walk around it, but I'm not the problem if I...

Re: smg to manual swap value

I could not agree more. It's laughable to me that someone would pay the 5-10k tax on a worse vehicle in the name of "originality" on a car that isn't a real collector car. Air cooled 911's and muscle...
