Re: Whoa... "Why I hate ECS tuning FB post."

I've bought quite a lot of parts from ECS tuning in the past, but their customer service has really gone downhill, along with their website. They take forever to respond to email inquiries.

Re: Need a new Android smartphone please to advise

Samsung has removed a lot of their junk from the OS recently, which has improved their phones quite a lot. The hardware is very nice, but their phones would be even nicer if they had stock android.

AFAIK, the 767 line is being propped up by the tanker order for the USAF. I believe had they not got that order, it would have been shut down.

I'm still using OE windshield wipers, because I'm not a big fan of replacements such as Bosch Icon and also because the wiper blades are still available (for now at least).

I recently put in a new...

Re: Questions about OE Bi-Xenon Headlights

Those lenses look a lot better than the OE lenses. I guess removing the assemblies and taking them apart necessitates a headlight alignment?

If you're talking about current shows, GoT, Westworld, Vikings and Narcos are my top picks.

Also like Better Call Saul, The Expanse, Humans and House of Cards.

Also really enjoyed Altered...

Re: Questions about OE Bi-Xenon Headlights

Thanks for the replies. Do the headlight assemblies have to be completely removed and disassembled to replace the lenses or can it be done with the projectors in the assembly?

Questions about OE Bi-Xenon Headlights

The angel-eyes died so I will be replacing them with umnitza V4.

The angel eyes were installed by the original owner approximately 15 years ago, so the car probably has the original headlight...

Re: Trans & Diff Fluids

Since Pentosin MFT2 has been discontinued, the next in line that seems to be an equivalent is Ravenol. After OEM, Ravenol would be my second choice.

Re: Injector flooded cylinder - Long term problems?

Stuck injectors aren't very common, but they do happen. I know someone with an Audi V6 that had this happen. They pulled over right away and the engine seemed to not have any problems. It's...

Re: Trans & Diff Fluids

There have been a few threads about this.

Pentosin discontinued their LTF2 "equivalent". Unless you can find some old stock, you're probably out of luck.

Febi makes a similar fluid, but it's...

Re: Another oil thread, I'm sorry.

I've only ever used 10w-60 castrol or bmw. I see that motul actually recommends their 8100 x-power for the E46 M3. If I recall, they did not used to have a recommendation. I used motul in my E36....

Re: R.I.P. Stephen Hawking

Hawking was undeniably brilliant, but he's not the only brilliant physicist of our age. I think the perception is because he is probably the best known.

Re: Cleaning vanos unit , what's the best and safest method

I like things being clean as well, but it makes no difference if there is some residual varnish on the inside of the unit. Use brake cleaner to remove whatever will come off, then leave well alone.

Exactly what he said.

Except for the choice of paint, this is the first BMW concept I've liked in a long time.

Shkreli is a d-bag, no doubt. It's hard to feel any sympathy for him.

For anyone interested in chemistry, it's been proven possible to make Pyrimethamine (aka Daraprim) using readily available...

You should not expect much if you dive anywhere around Jamaica. It's heavily overfished. I did some diving when I was there but it was nothing compared to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan or Grand Cayman. It...

Re: What was the last movie you watched and would you recommend it?

Only the first short is animated. The second and third are film. If you want to know what happened between the films, you should watch all three.

Re: BMW Recommended E46 M3 Square Winter Wheel & Tire Setup

Lutz got under a few people's skin with that remark. His remark may not be so off-base. Up to this point, Tesla hasn't had any notable competition in the luxury EV space. With Porsche and others...

Re: Buying a low mileage car that's been sitting around: what to worry about

Your car had 90k miles on the odometer when you put it into storage. IMO, blaming these issues on the storage rather than the 90k miles is dubious. I see you're located in Menlo Park, CA. That area...
