I would do a thicker oil since it's hot there. Like I said above, 15w50 Redline or Liqui Moly. You will reduce lifter noise too this way. 5w30 is too thin if you live somewhere hot IMO.

FWIW I there's a member on here who took the trunk from a convertible to get a 3rd brake light on his coupe. I have no idea whether that's plug and play or difficult in some way(?) but it looks nice...

Also, if the splitter is fiberglass it will probably crack or shatter the first time you hit a driveway with any amount of speed. I'm afraid this might be one of those "gotta pay to play" moments.

Yes 20 lbs for a 17-inch wheel is not particularly great. But damn do they LOOK great...

Okay so really it's just a pad they upholstered. The way you said it before made it sound like the entire cage was wrapped in alcantara, which had that been the case, yes, is VERY funny.
