Re: New TMS Aluminum "Skidplate"?

I go off-roading plenty (one of these days I should make a montage) .. but oddly *that* part is one I've never broken.

Centric blanks - no swaps.

PFC mentioned there's no issue with the pads going over a different pad's transfer.

Re: Best Wheel & Alignment Setup for Drag Racing

I'll pile on - N54 cars are friggin' *cheap* and have waaay more headroom for power. They have their own quirks.. but will net you far more smiles if drag racing is what you're after.

Using a hacksaw is a bad idea

You want one of these - a "mini" or "close quarters" tubing cutter

Re: Quick Question: Rear parcel shelf

It's been ages since I pulled my rear shelf, but I'd imagine there are some differences with HK since the sub is back there. Have you checked realOEM for part number differences?

Almost doesn't sound like the engine actually revved to the "mechanical" rpm? It was definitely not a happy sound... but didn't sound like it went to 9k rpm, either (ff to 3:15):

As mentioned earlier, de-pin from the harness rather than cutting.

..No need to change the oil.

Go slow, take your time, and don't force anything. If something doesn't budge it's because you forgot to disconnect something.

Re: To store or not to store.

I would avoid storing it on a farm outdoors, hands down. My first car actually sat for a year on a farm (in Texas) - it got so hot one of the rear windows exploded, and then a cat lived in it....

Re: (HELP) Can-Bus Hacking to enable Raised RPM Red line & More

Are you asking about coding your DME to send that info? Or are you actually going to have a Raspberry Pi query the ECU for RPM, etc., and then send that over CAN so the cluster can pick it up?
