Re: REIN High pressure power steering hose deal

In the E36 world we figured out that we could repair the OE hose by cutting off the compression fitting with a Dremmel. We would then reinsert the banjo end into the hose and secure it with a worm...

Re: Big thanks to Forum Member Jest - Diff Seal Install DIY

Photobucket can suck it! Reposted the images because I need to do this job soon.

Re: I attempted a M3 Swap and succeeded!

I think he meant is there any sort of difference between one that was 6MT stock vs. one that was SMG stock but converted to 6MT. Is there anything at all about a car that was originally SMG such that...

Re: Photobucket killed images resurrection

Thanks for this tidbit! I just redid the SMG to Manual thread because I really needed to see the wiring info. I tried to get the pics originally by browsing to the original photobucket album, but...

REHOSTED IMAGES

20. Now that the plate is off, you have a couple of options. Keep in mind that, regardless of which option you choose, it is very important to prime/paint/undercoat everything to...

Re: Comprehensive SMG to 6MT Conversion Thread

I think I got this right. I rehosted all the images on Tinypic. Hopefully this works for everyone. I know the wiring section is going to help me a ton.

Re: Almost Stalled, Shuddering, Rough Idle, Multiple Random Misfires

OEM Steel Skid Plate, $500

Brand new, never installed.

Ordered it by mistake instead of a simple belly pan. It's overkill for my needs, but perhaps someone who is running an aggressively low suspension can make use of it...

Re: Comprehensive SMG to 6MT Conversion Thread

OP (or someone else who has all the original pics) will have to rehost them somewhere other than Photobucket. Photobucket recently implemented a fee for hot-linking on accounts over some amount of...

Re: DIY: Cheap Rear Quarter Panel Window Stripping Replacement

This is a great find. I'm helping a friend's son rehab a 2001 330 and we need to do this. Does the new weather stripping from Amazon also work for repairing the lower trim piece that goes...

Re: Help me find a suspension setup for my E36?

I put Dinan stage 1 (linear rate springs about 1/4" lower than stock with pre-set Koni yellows) on my '98 sedan and have been very happy with it. Everything else in the suspension is OEM. It's...

I was changing out wiper blades over the weekend and managed to bump the passenger side arm when the blade was off. The...

Yep. After posting I resumed searching on the Internet and rediscovered this site (http://www.dvatp.com/bmw/oxygen_sensors) which I found when first researching the problem.

It's annoying that...

Re: O2 Sensors Quick Answer Needed

So, I figured out that I was an idiot and the front connector on top of the engine is sensor 2 and the rear is sensor 1. New bank 1 sensor 1 is in and the cel has yet to return.

Re: Any idea where I can get replacement HK speakers?

Wow. That's crazy. This is for the e36 stage 1 kit? Mine shipped and arrived within a week. The passenger side 6x9 was DoA, but a replacement is already on the way. They've always replied to my...

Re: Parting out Interior of 97 M3 Sedan, Magma Color

I'm interested in the A and C pillars. I don't care what condition the cloth is in so long as you can extract them with all the mounting tabs in tact.

Price for all four shipped to 37221?

Re: Any idea where I can get replacement HK speakers?

Holy hell, I'd be livid. Mine arrived last week. I installed them Sat. They sound great, but one of the 6x9s was DOA. It just makes a buzzing sound. Went back to the factory speaker in that corner.

Re: Greetings from a new owner

So, the sticker on the airbox pertains to an emissions control recall. It just says that the recall has been performed.

Also, is this a catch can? It has a hose running to it from the engine....

Re: Greetings from a new owner

It's tough to compare. The M3 feels slower to get going, but I chalk that up to the automatic. I just have to get used to really pushing on the gas to get the power through the torque converter. When...

Re: Greetings from a new owner

Re: 99 M3 Coupe Interior Part Out, Garage 'inventory' clearance

Damn. Don't suppose you're planning a trip to Atlanta anytime soon? I'd make the drive from Nashville for them. Jacksonville is a bit too far, though.

Right on cue. The passenger side started buzzing today. Funny thing is the driver side seems better. Do they just go silent eventually? Replacements are on the way.

Also ordered some micro suede...

Re: Greetings from a new owner

I'm not worried about it's viability. It's just the sheer enjoyment of rowing through the gears, rev matching downshifts, and the generally more connected feel of driving a manual that is calling me....
