Re: CrookedCommie's Track/Street Build

I can do it if I play around with the ride height, but I don't have access to scales for the weekend, so if I set it to 13.25F/12.75R I know I'll be pretty close and the cross will be nearly 50%.

Re: Wheel Stud Life Span?

Mine lasted about one year, Costco did them in when they torqued to 88 instead of BW's 75. I did wheel changes at every event though.

Re: CrookedCommie's Track/Street Build

I have the Shorai charger for it, so I think the battery will be getting pulled out of the car and left on "Store/Charge" between events. The other thing suggested was putting in a kill switch, so...

I think if you are just flushing, yes, you can just use the pressure bleeder and cycle fluid through. This is an extra step to help get air out. I did see a couple extra bubbles when doing this -...

Re: First start in half a year, pull fuel pump fuse and let it crank first?

Track car sat for six months with old oil in it. Rebuilt injectors, so just waited for the fuel pump to get rid of the air, then cranked it right up.

Re: Status Gruppe Exhaust Review. Maximum salt.

Guys, the factory in China needs a minimum order to produce stuff, why is anybody surprised at the situation? Apex does the same thing, but they fill the order with a group buy first.

Just ordered a Shorai and their charger so I'll be testing it this week. Need to fab up a quick aluminium bracket for it as well. Got this one:

Have you checked all the values in INPA? It has real time read outs of throttle pedal, the two sensors, and the actuator.

Yeah they've been doing one a year. You can try reaching out to Apex and seeing if they have any extra stock.

Re: INPA Error with chassis modules

Do you see X5 option under your INPA? I think there is a way to just update the daten files you need, but not sure. Looks like there's something called Bimmer Tools that can do it for you.

Re: 3rd Gear Grind - Bad Synchro?

Not sure, but it might make it worse. That 330i had some kind of B&M short shifter. Exaggerate the pause between gears and that will help with the synchro. You can see how long I wait from 4 down to...

Re: 3rd Gear Grind - Bad Synchro?

Agreed, way too fast. Here's my 220k mile 5-speed with blown 3rd and 4th gear synchros (330i). No crunching. Force the gate and it won't survive as long as this one did.
