Completely agreed. This feels like an instance where you could get 100% the same result with paint as with the same result.

In fact, my M5 (comes stock with high gloss shadowline) developed an...

I actually have no idea-- never taken mine to the drag strip since it was brand new.

I got a 12.9 @112 out of my e39 M5 when I accidentally ended up at a drag strip (work function), and my M3...

Re: I know this is lame but...Do I have a power loss in my M?

Clearly the Mustang is faster, but it's not stupidly faster-- C/D got 0-60 in 4.5 and the quarter in 13.1 @107 of of the stock e46 m3 coupe back in 2001. Don't forget your vert viewed is skewed by...

Still needs to be meaningfully lighter than the stock back seat to make sense imo. Otherwise you’re paying more to have more nhv without benefit in exchange.

If you’re taking about putting carpet...

It all seriousness, I have trouble driving my mom's automatic e46 wagon. I'm super acclimated to driving my manual e46 M3 wagon. The automatic has a wider brake pedal than the manual cars. So, on the...

We actually did briefly get Kiwi as a non individual option. In 2004 it was a priority 1 (unlisted) option on the car.

That is true for me for anything remotely sporty.

Actually, I'd rather manual in SUVs, etc, as well, but it's pretty impossible these days. :(

Re: Best explanation of why manual is desirable to some that Iíve seen

It might be easier to floor it, but, if you’re driving your car at the limit, the higher the limit is, the sharper the fall off is when you surpass it. Driver skill be easiness isn’t really a factor...

Actually, Iíd say that far and away a faster car is harder to drive near the limit, and requires more skill to do so.

Certainly a faster car is faster than a slower car with an equal driver. But,...

Re: Best explanation of why manual is desirable to some that Iíve seen

Cars are only “fast” for a year or two, before they get surpassed by something faster. After that, the extra speed from faster shifts is kind of meaningless. The extra involvement from the manual is...

I’m surprised there’s purple tag enthusiasm from the e36 owners. E46 owners that got the purple tag in the steering rack lottery often upgrade to yellow tag :clueless:
