You can read it by desoldering chip and make a backup of the flash. Maybe BMW Scanner also can do a backup over OBD. No other tools currently known.

So your conclusion is, VANOS can only Retard (high values in map are retard), no matter if exhaust or intake.

60° intake is high retard, 45° exhaust is also high retard

Okay so let's try to make things clear.

Exhaust Vanos at Idle = 0°
Intake Vanos at Idle = 60°

When you build in vanos you have to fully advance it.
So it makes sense that

I tried all of them and even more, also the torque reserve map, but our compressor m3 still didn't like to idle cleanly, until i changed alphan and lowered ignition a little bit.

Testo has an own Serial implemention Stream for MSS54, which will allow you to gather data a little bit faster than the precompiled ediabas files. At least in real it doesn't make so much difference...

I mixed the log's Testo for OBD Logs, Also Testo supports AFR readings with external cheap probes, and will get a lot higher frequency than bmw logger

so zeitronix can pull much faster also rpm when you to rpm pin exactly, we use it quiet often

It's not possible as long as we don't have the position of the "Injector size" variable in the binary (K_TI_EV_QSTAT)

You can try changing the correcting factor or you can try change maps for fuel...

But there is a misunderstanding, overrun areas are not lean in base fuel map, they are very rich, at least it does not matter because, injection is turned off instantly when you go off the throttle....

I think the other maps are M5 related (leftover) -> 2 vanos units * 2 maps * 2 (inlet/outlet)

By the way you can easily use stock e30 dash with your engine, only need to connect some cables, saw...

Not sure if you software number is correct. Use INPA go into your ECU, select the ZUSB or ZB (Zusammenbaunummer) under Info or identication.
Then go to the WinKFP MSS54 Folder, search for this ZB....

just take some hex editor mark everything until 0x3FFF cut it out and paste it at the end, then you can do damos import, but you have to know the offset, i forgot what i used

maybe it makes sense to turn on api trace when programming with winkfp and then see which parameter winkfp is using to write aif and program data etc.

he already told that winkfp and bmwflasher don't work. so i guess it's just software bricked, even when inpa is not corresponding nor winkfp, sounds like flash counter or completely wrong data files....

at least with DIS, or Tool32 you can set your mss54/mss52 into dyno mode manually, i think this is what this value is made for :)
