Tried to program MOST with a DCan cable.. (this doesn't work) Didnt do enough reading and now I have modules that have aborted programming.

Anyone have a working ICOM setup that can help out?

Nate,

you will be good to go.

When you turn on the ignition the Gear ID switch (back of the actuator) will sense what gear it is in and move it to neutral. no adaptation for the gear id side.

Nate,
Neutral is achieved by the selector shaft at the back of the transmission, the slave cylinder has no effect. Did the selector shaft slide forward or back when you reinserted the pivot pin? ...

Yes sir!! Don't get much seat time in the M5 anymore, trying to keep the miles off. I picked up a 335d in Nov and i'm currently in love with the 425 ft lb of torque.

did you remember that 10mm bolt that bolts the engine plate to the trans...

look up behind the headers, screws in to the trans bellhousing

The Inpa/GT1 has the ability to "adapt the gearbox" and "bleed" the SMG system (bleeding can also be done via the AE manually)

"adapting the gearbox" is only necessary if you have to replace any...

Not so much a "reprogram"

I simply explained that I replaced the transmission, they did a "gearbox adaptation" That basically teaches the SMG Computer how to shift the transmission. I paid 1 hr...

There are 4 options re:smg in the AE

1)Teach clutch slipping - I believe helps with shuddering in 1st/2nd
2)Teach Clutch Characteristic - not sure on this one i think its related to the clutch...

Its a pressed fit, remove the nut and tap out with a suitable punch
Sorry, no reference for rebuilding... Its my understanding that no one will open these transmissions because there arent any...

sorry I forgot what AE calls it, "hydraulic pump" -when you click on this one you should hear the pump run for 60ish secs Twoard the end it will make a high pitch noise, this is the pump reaching max...

then in the main window down at the bottom, sometimes it gets...

When you opened the lines air entered and will not compress and actuate the clutch cylinter or shift actuator cylinder.

Via AE: select a gear, then select the smg...

It came off the car at 65K when the trans went bad see the flickr album for pics, I can get you a disc measurement if you want but I’m not...

3 unlock and HOLD key in unlock position

You should be able to get it to the shop if its not too far... You will probably have trouble getting it to shift gears and the SMG lite will most definitely be on.
