Re: Using TestO with external source

What exactly do you mean by calculate? I'm assuming you have an LM2, if so all it does is display (or log) AFR or lambda. Out of the box it should be AFR.

Re: Brake upgrade options

I think it is, I've always wondered that myself. It seems like whenever anyone is looking to upgrade brakes it's always straight to a BBK or retrofit while overlooking the obvious.

Re: Possible New Clutch

It's common with the RMS, sometimes changing it causes a REALLY bad leak if the new seal doesn't go in correctly (they can be tricky). If this is the case, you end up having to take the whole thing...

Re: MSSX5 Throttle adjustment?

Set it to whatever you like. Personally I think the stock sport throttle map is obnoxiously touchy.

Re: Power steering help

If you don't end up replacing it I'd at least give it a good flush. Mine felt much much smoother and quieter after getting new fluid in there.

The timesert I used on mine has just enough of a flat surface where I wouldn't really worry about it. I think the size used for this is meant almost specifically for oil pans, probably end up sitting...

Re: SMG->6MT: Those who's done it, did you replace the clutch at same time?

Did mine at 120k, clutch that came out still had life. I'm pretty sure my car spent most of it's life doing long highway stretches, I probably could have reused it. I replaced everything...

Re: Winter Tire Sizing - Will this work?

I think you should be fine.

I've been running 225/45/18 Hakka R2's for the past two seasons and I personally feel that 225's on the rear is unreasonable. Next time I'll be moving up to 235/245.

There's also different vanos maps that accompany cold start + cat heating. S54 is quite the noisy thing in cold start.

Yeah it is. ECU does per-cylinder ignition compensation so it's not uncommon to see a variance between them. It also has a lot of safeguards against elevated IATs so it's not surprising. If you...
